Hey guys! Today I want to share with you an awesome recipe - black bean burgers and they are SO good! Surprisingly, this didn't have a super beany taste to it. I sincerely loved them. So lets get down to it...
- 1 can of black beans, rinsed
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- salt and pepper to taste
Overall, this took about 35 minutes to prepare, and 20 of those minutes where nonactive, waiting to take them out of the oven.
So, first preheat your oven to 375. Then, empty your can of beans and rinse them. Once they are rinsed, place them in a bowl and mash them with a fork.
Once they are nice and mushy, add in your onion and bell pepper and mix it very well.
Next, mix in your egg and bread crumbs (most people add more than 1/2 cup, but I try to avoid using much flour) and then your seasonings!
After thoroughly mixing, form 4 pattys and place them in the oven (unless of course you are grilling them). Bake them for 10 minutes on each side and boom you're done!
Below is the nutritional facts for this one, as well as a video of me making them!
Thanks for the read everyone,
